A DOUCAI ‘DRAGON’ JAR, 19TH CENTURY

The jar is enameled around the body with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst flames and clouds, all between a petal lappet band at the foot and the bajixiang emblems on the shoulder. The base has an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.) high, cloth box

CONDITION REPORT:
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-The jar appears to be in good overall condition except for some minute fritting and glaze gaps to the mouth.
