A DUTCH DELFT BLUE AND WHITE LARGE OCTAGONAL BALUSTER VASE, LATE 17TH CENTURY

painted in Chinese 'Transitional' style, with a continuous scene of various birds, including six peacocks, among large flowering branches of chrysanthemum, with a foliate band at the shoulder, birds perched in flowering branches, GK monogram for Gerrit Pietersz Kam, Drie Postelyne Astonne (The Three Porcelain Ash-Barrels) factory, or De Paeuw (The Peacock) factory.

Condition Report:
In good appearance.
The octagonal foot sprayed, probably covering an extending firing crack which is visible in base. Some over-painting at the points where the crack would be. The main body in good appearance and condition. The short neck with an area of spray and over-paint to three of the stiff leaves.
