A DUTCH WALNUT AND MARQUETRY INLAID LAYETTE TRAY ON STAND, DATED 1757

with ownership initials W.J.W. and C.H.F. and date inlaid in ivory, the underside of the base inscribed LWG in ink and with a paper label inscribed in pen 23600 / Carved Tray on Spiral Stand A / etc.
87cm. high, 51cm. wide, 46cm. deep; 2ft 10¼in., 1ft. 8in., 1ft. 4in.

Condition Report:
Decorative. The top slightly warped and evidence to the pierced canted sides of this process as there separations to each join at the corners. Very minor losses to inlay. Screws to underside probbaly later - to consolidate movement.
The piece comes in two sections.
The base with old marks and scratches throughout.
Evidence of old worm.
An unusual object.
