A Diamond and Ruby Necklace
18k yellow gold (750/-), tested. Circa 200 brilliant-cut diamonds, altogether circa 9 carats, W-TCR (H-I), VS. 31 pink ruby cabochons, altogether circa 2 carats. Inner circumference: circa 11.5 cm. Circa 132 g. The necklace is formed of twenty-nine flower-shaped elements, each centrally set with a ruby. The flowers are separated by bar-shaped links, twelve of which are set with diamonds. The flowers and bars are threaded onto hoop. Either end of the hoop is finished with a circular link, pavé-set with diamonds. It is an exquisite example of hand craftsmanship. Der Reif besteht aus neunundzwanzig blütenförmigen Elementen mit je einem zargengefassten Rubin in der Mitte. Dazwischen befinden sich Stege von denen zwölf mit Brillanten besetzt sind. Die Blüten und Stege wurden beweglich auf einen Federreif gesetzt. Die Enden bilden zwei Halbkugeln, die mit pavégefassten Brillanten verziert sind. Es handelt sich um eine exquisite Handarbeit.
