Circa 1770
the rim engraved with the phrase 'Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense' and surmounting a wheel-cut forest scene surrounding a moated building with a courting couple visible in the interior, the opposite side decorated with a risquè scene of two pairs of legs emerging from bushes and raised on a plain baluster stem with a knopped base.
Height 7 3/8 inches.
