A Dutch or German all-metal flintlock pistol, circa 1660
Two-stage smooth-bore barrel, octagonal then round, in 18 mm calibre. Hollow-forged stock, the lock with an external frizzen spring. The cock mechanism with main spring, attached openly on the right side. Openwork butt cap. Iron ramrod with bullet puller inset below the barrel. Length 48.5 cm. A rare, early, all-metal flintlock pistol, similar to the well-known pieces produced by Jan Cloeter of Düsseldorf.
