Rectangular plain with rounded corners. The cover finely engraved with a border of foliage. With flower head finial with leaves. Probably one of a set of three from a tea box. Amsterdam, the makers' mark of Martinus van Stapele, The Hague, struck twice, one time overstruck with the city hallmark of Amsterdam, Z=1784,. Also struck with crowned O, 1807 and V duty hallmark. 925/1000. Size ca 8x5 cm.
