A FAMILLE ROSE 'BUTTERFLY' VASE
Guangxu mark and of the period
Of globular body and long flaring neck, a frieze of flowering foliage below the neck with a xi character on each side, a band of ruyi pattern at the mouth rim and a band of stylized lappets above the short straight foot, finely painted with butterflies on the neck and body, the da Qing Guangxu nian zhi mark written in standard script in iron-red.
