A FAMILLE VERTE BARBER'S BASIN, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1772)

The basin is decorated to the centre with a pheasant perching on a peony branch. The border is decorated with five cartouches depicting fish and crabs amongst aquatic plants, all reserved on a butterfly and flower ground. The exterior is decorated with four large flower branches below a floral band to the rim.
