A FEDERAL SATINWOOD INLAID FLAME MAHOGANY PEMBROKE TABLE, POSSIBLY NEW YORK, 1790-1810, the dramatically figured mahogany rectangular top with canted corners and hinged flaps, centering a circular marquetry fan inlay within a satinwood cross banded and ebony string lined border, above a short drawer opposite a sham drawer and each with a brass bale handle above a brass lined keyhole enclosed by satinwood string lining, raised on similarly inlaid tapering rectangular legs ending in conforming brass caps and later brown ceramic casters, height: 28 3/4", width: 17 1/2" (open: 33 3/4"), depth: 35". Dimensions: Condition Report: Top central area has surface scratches and wear, some light lifting on parts of fan medallion and some small losses, some edge chips scattered throughout, expected age cracks, slight warping and surface buildup throughout.
