An enormous example, the massive blade of characteristic form, with lightly concave edge expanding as it sweeps sharply downward and abruptly upward again and terminating in a distinct peak, with brass inlaid eye and engraved motifs retaining original red wax inlay. The faceted steel reinforced with flared terminal with turned wooden grip and profiled brass ferrule and disk pommel cap. 17th-18th century. Light wear, minor areas of pitting. Overall length 81.5 cm / 32". Condition II
