The exceptional jewel-tone example with large central medallion having midnight blue background and anchors each end floating on a warm red field with ivory spandrels, great overall balance, spacious flowering designs throughout framed by an intricate main border, fine weave estimated at 3 to 400 knots per square inch, lustrous wool and well-saturated colors, floppy fabric-like handle, dates to the last quarter of the 19th century.
