A FINE ANTIQUE UNHEATED RUBY, SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PEACOCK BROOCH / PENDANT in yellow god and silver, designed as a peacock set throughout with rose cut diamonds, the body set with a cushion cut ruby of approximately 1.79 carats, the feathers accented by a row of alternating cushion cut rubies and sapphires, suspending a detachable bow-shaped pendant set with further rose cut diamonds and accented by two further rubies, the rubies all totalling 14.0-16.0 carats, no assay marks, full length of brooch 10.5cm, pendant 5.2cm, 34.1g. With a gemmological verbal assessment stating that the rubies are of Thai origin with no indication of heat treatment.
