A FINE CHINESE YELLOW/GREEN JADE INCENSE BURNER AND COVER, FANGDING

QING DYNASTY OR LATER

Each side carved in shallow relief with taotie masks, the flat rim set with a pair of upright loop handles, all raised on four feet emerging from the mouths of mythical beasts, the cover similarly decorated, surmounted by a finial shaped as a Buddhist lion and its puppy, the stone of greenish yellow colour with some minor pale inclusions, 17.4cm overall.
