A FINE COMPLETE SADDLE OF A TRIBE CHIEF

Wooden, leather-covered structure, with triangular knob, shaped as stylized cobra's head, leather saddle cover, richly decorated with geometrical motifs in polychrome, with thin, leather bands. Complete with leather chanfrin with metal decorations, the other chanfrin decorated with shells, metal stirrups. Fine, leather saddle-pad, the sides decorated with leather applications and embroidered in polychrome, and with long fringes. Parts missing and defects. Fine ensemble.
