A finely detailed icon executed in dominant red tones. The armor of the soldiers is delicately ornamented. In the background, a hilly landscape and a cityscape frame the scene. On the reverse side, there is a full-figure depiction of Sts. Alexander Nevsky, Cyril and Paisius.
