Of shaped oval form with panelled sides, the front with engraved armorial shield, the domed cover with flush hinge and ring handles, the cover also crested.
12cm high (exc. handle), 15cm wide, 10.5cm deep. 14.6 troy ounces.
The arms are of German origin but were confirmed to William Elers, J.P., D.L. (1797-1888) of Oldbury Place, Ightham, Kent by the College of Arms on 31st May 1836.
