the rectangular box with flush-fitting cover decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, hirame with fans depicting Japanese gardens, landscapes and flowers of the four seasons on a gyobu-hirame ground, the interior in dense nashiji
16 x 23 x 28.8 cm., 6⅓ x 9⅛ x 11⅓ in.

- Some slight wear to the gyobu-hirame ground.
