A FINE HERIZ CARPET, NORTH-WEST PERSIA approx: 12ft.1in. x 9ft.1in.(368cm. x 276cm.) Classic design for this type with bold hooked and stepped floral medallion with hooked palmette pendants. All surrounded by polychrome hooked palmettes and angular floral vine between floral and zig-zag stripes. Apart of slight localized wear to the top pile, barely visible and very slight loss to guard stripe at one end, secured also barely noticeable, this carpet has good pile and is in very good usable condition throughout. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes. Attractive and very good furnishing piece. Popular type at present market.
