Very nicely design field with scrolling arabesque and delicate flowering vine around concentric multi-coloured floral medallion. Bold palmette spandrels. In palmette and scrolling vine border between triple arabesque and plain stripes. Very good colour combination, rather unusual for this type. Very fine weave, approx.; 9 x 9 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation, also seldom found in the sales in this quality. Thin carpet has full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality. Ends and selvages original. In general this piece is in very good condition throughout . Attractive and lovely furnishing carpet.
