[ translate ]

The partially lobed body with scroll and acanthus supports raised on pad feet, reeded handles with detailed lion's head mounts, gadroon shell and leaf border at the rim, the lobed and double-domed lid is surmounted with a cast silver eagle family crest having crown neck collar, most likely a special order commission. The specially commissioned cast family crest handle conforms with the engraved crests elsewhere on the tureen and cover.

Measures 12.5 x 18 x 11 inches. Weighs approximately 157.85 ozt.

Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.
In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. The content of this auction bears testament to their keen eye and varied interests. No property has been added; each lot here originates with the Sosland family and sells without reserve.

We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.

Until further notice, we cannot offer international shipping in-house.
Condition Report: Very good condition, there are no issues of damage, repair, excessive wear engraving or any issue related to condition. The crispness of detail is very good.
