A FINE POWDER-BLUE GLAZED ROULEAU VASE, KANGXI PERIOD
A FINE POWDER-BLUE GLAZED ROULEAU VASE, KANGXI PERIOD
China, 1662-1722. Well potted with a simple cylindrical body rising from a short recessed foot to gently canted shoulders and a broad neck, encircled by a raised bowstring beneath the everted lipped rim. The restrained simplicity of the form serves to emphasize the striking monochrome glaze.
