A FINE TEHERAN PRAYER RUG, NORTH PERSIA approx: 6ft.5in. x 4ft.7in.(196cm. x 140cm.) The field with very nicely drawn large flowering vase. Single column at each side supporting rosette lattice mihrab. In an unusual border of arabesques, rosettes and angular vine between floral stripes. This rug has good pile, fine wool quality. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. Fine weave, approx 6 x 6 knots per sq. cm. In general this rug is in vey good usable condition. Attractive piece.
