A flintlock pistol

dating: late 18th Century provenance: France, Smooth-bore, round barrel with square base, embossed at the base with a figure and floral motifs, provided with a golden stamp with a crowned eagle, rib in two pieces, the first one with signature 'HONOVL', the second among floral engravings, engraved tang, flintlock engraved with floral motifs (a screw is missing). Wooden, full stock, slightly embossed with floral motifs. Beautiful, silver mounts, gilded with floral motifs in bass-relief. Wooden ramrod. length 53.5 cm.
