A FOLK ART WHALE BONE CAT PIE CRIMPER WITH BALEEN INLAY

The later folk art carving done as homage to a 19th century pie crimper depicts a bob-tailed cat in full stride joined through both sides with peg construction. The feline's eyes and its two-piece body are inlaid with baleen. The figure holds a rotating zig-zagged wheel with star hub.

Measures 2.25 x 6.5 inches.
