A FRAMED AMERICAN BUTTON DEPICTING A FIREMAN ON IT.

One large framed scarce Celluloid Litho of a Fireman.
A very colorful litho with the printers name below the Fireman "Whitehead and Hoag & Co, Newark N.J." . The company was known in the 1800's for its colorful printing and apparently produced other buttons for fireman and police, but it appears many of the buttons did not survive. This is a very scarce button and it has a loop shank and black lacquer back.
