A FRAMED SET OF GRAND TOUR SPECIMEN MARBLES 19TH CENTURY AND LATER Each section of rectangular form, in a moulded ebonised frame frame 53 by 49cm Condition Report: Wear, marks, knocks and scratches as per age, handling, use, and cleaning. Some edge wear and loss to frame and natural faults to marbles- sealed in frame. It has been suggested that although the panels may well be 19th century- the frame could be a more modern piece made and aged to deceive.
