A FRENCH BRONZE VENUS DE MILO, AFTER THE ANTIQUE, BY THE RICHARD, ECK & DURAND FOUNDRY, 1838-1844, a nicely cast and patinated bronze model on a square form base with front centering an illegible large circular seal, reversing to a backside stamped with circular seal "RÉDUCTION MÉCANIQUE ALLE COLLAS Brevet," incised "L'Robert, Eck et Durand F," after the famous ancient Greek white marble sculpture (130-100 BC) by Alexandros of Antioch, located in Paris at the Louvre Museum.
