£3,400

A Fine 19th Century 18ct gold half hunter keyless chronograph minute repeater pocket watch, by Nathaniel Wegg of New Cross Road London, white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, blued steel double leaf hands, centre chronograph seconds hand, subsidiary chronograph minute dial at 12 and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 with blue enamel chapter ring on front cover, 18ct inner dust cover and rose-cut diamond balance jewel, signed Wegg London, case maker AS, London 1880, no serial no. case width 53mm, working order (see condition report), 153.7g gross

More Information

Movement – watch movement itself currently appears to be working although we think it would highly benefit from a service as it was initially slightly temperamental to get running (hands adjustment was stiff and chronograph seconds stopped in several random places), but it seems to have loosened up after a few times of testing functions, that being said we cannot fully guarantee the full working order of this pocket watch
Dial - 1 hairline crack between centre column and top subsidiary dial otherwise clean
Glass - some minor evidence of glue around edge otherwise clean
Hands - good
Case - only minor surface abrasions all over
Crown – hands adjust smoothly
