The gilt bronze and marble mantel clock, with Guibet Lne a Paris inscribed to calendar ring, the two-train movement with silk suspension and outside count wheel set within a rectangular red jasper case, gilt bronze lambrequin frieze corned by drapery mounts supported by rectangular Corinthian columns, gilt bronze console decorated with masks and foliate motif centered by lapis medallion, surmounted by a pair of addorsed sphinxes, turned base with cast central cartouche featuring ovoid lapis cabochon, atop four toupie feet.
