A Fine George III Style Gilded Gesso Mirror

Friedman brothers, Oval beveled glass mirror with beaded and gadroon borders surrounded by a joining leaf border. Flowering urn top pediment with shell top and scrolled flowering vines ending above sphinx's wings. Center of mirror has two bars with embossed floral medallions with winged sphinx's resting on top. Acanthus leaves with draping flowering joining the bottom pediment. The bottom pediment is scrolled acanthus leaves with flowering cornucopia. Outstanding 20th Century mirror. 35w x 3d x 57h
