A Finely cast twentieth century Sino-Tibetan bronze/copper alloy Shakyamuni. Buddha sits in bhumisparsha mudra or "calling to witness" which was the position he assumed directly after enlightenment. The Buddha measures 6.25 inches tall. Consecrated at base with offering inside. There is a mantra engraved on back. Provenance: I.M. Chait Gallery, LA, Ca, USA, also a private New Jersey collection.
