A Fon Vodun Magic fetish

A carved wooden shrine idol embellished with seeds and shells, bells and iron spikes in the ears,mouth and top of the head. Fon or related ethnic group, Togo or Dahomey, West Africa. The Idol measures 16 inches tall on its custom display stand. Provenance: A Santa Barbra, CA collection, Possibly the Mccormick/ Fearing collection, also a Private New Jersey collection.
