The first with bright slightly curved fullered blade etched 'E. BIDAL, Rue De Richelieu. 3, Paris.' within the fuller on one side at the forte, the back with manufactory details, regulation bronze hilt sparsely cast with foliage and comprising half-basket guard of two bars swept up to join the knuckle-guard, and wire-bound dark horn grip (old chip beneath the pommel), in original steel scabbard (surface rust patination) with and ring for suspension; the second with fullered blade double-edged towards the point, the back at the forte etched with manufactory details, regulation brass hilt similar to the last and stamped with two inspector's marks on one side of the knuckle guard, and wire-bound horn grip (wire slightly loose), in original steel scabbard (some rust patination) with ring for suspension; the last of similar form, the blade stamped 'G. BARRE FAB A PARIS' in an oval on one side at the forte, in original steel scabbard with ring for suspension (3)
