Of regulation pattern, with curved fullered blade (some old rust patination) double-edged towards the point and etched with dated Klingenthal manufactory details along the back at the forte, the forte stamped with three inspector's marks, brass hilt of two bars swept up to join the knuckle-guard, the latter numbered '32' on one side and struck with inspector's marks and '52' on the other, ovoidal langets, lobed rear quillon, and cord-bound leather covered grip set with a brass oval on each side, in later steel scabbard with two rings for suspension
