Clocks, Barometers & Scientific Instruments The clock feels fully wound but is not ticking. It does strike properly and with a beautiful sound when the repeater button is pressed and when the hands are advanced manually. The alarm mechanism works. With two-sided key. The portrait on the proper left side has a sliver of its right edge broken off or is loose within its housing and out of position revealing the right edge. Portraits appear to be painted on paper or ivorine. The top window is monogrammed with an illegible script.
