the circular enameled dial with inner numerals from 1 to 5 and outer numerals from 1 to 12, the movement striking on a bell with a silk suspension, the dial set on and flanked by foliate scrolls, the shaped base cast to show addorsed recumbent goats terminating in six paw feet, further over a rectangular base ending in toupie feet.
Height 19 x width 15 7/8 inches. Continental Decorative Arts Gilt decoration bright. Top elements and back cover detached but retained. Small hairline cracks to enamel dial between 11:00 and 12:00. Two keys present but they do not fit the aperatures on dial to wind the works. Works appear intact and take a wind. Silk thread deteriorated, unable to run works. Appears to take a wind and strike on the half-hour and hour. Additional images available upon request.
