the spherical dial with Roman numeral hours supported by three putti atop a cylindrical plinth, the shaped base raised on toupie feet, the conforming candelabra cast to show a seated putto holding a wreath and issuing the foliate candle arms.
Height of mantel clock 16 1/4 inches. Continental Decorative Arts The two candelabra likely associated to the clock. The candle's gilt elements are very bright, drilled areas suggest some elements are now detached. Other drilled areas suggest the candle cups were wired for electricity. Some repairs and overpainting to lapis bases. The clock appears to take a wind and run striking on the half-hour and hour. Not tested for accuracy or duration.
