Round lacquer box with moulded mountings. Inset on the lid with an oval enamel on copper portrait of a lady in a pink gown (4.5 x 4.0 cm). Miniature and cover framed by gold rings with finely engraved braided frieze motifs. Unidentified 18th century French hallmarks. The lacquer with slight craquelure, minor wear. H 2.8, diameter 7.5 cm.
