Comprising a delicate garland necklace connected by double chains and a pair of hoop earrings, bezel-set with eight oval plaques of red glass inlaid with very fine polychrome micromosaics (ca. 11.0 x 14.0 mm - 19.0 x 24.0 mm). Depicting Roman ruins including Arco di Giano, Tomba di Cecilia Metella, Tempio di Vesta, Piramide di Cestia. Hallmarks: French "tête de coq" gold guarantee, used 1809 - 1819. The central red plaquette of the necklace with a crack and a minor chip to the upper face. Necklace L 40 cm. Earrings H 1.9 cm. Total weight 27.79 g. Original case with gold tooled leather cover.
