A French Second Empire Carabinier-a-Cheval Cuirass and Helmet third quarter 19th century the helmet with plumage, the cuirass with an applied eagle and wreath medallion. Height of cuirass 17 1/2 inches.
Condition Report: In good, presentable condition. Exterior with even finish, having light to moderate surface wear (scratches & shallow dents) consistent with age and handling. Leather to inside of helmet worn. Inscription to inner lower edge of cuirass. Additional images available upon request.
