With tapering blade (some old light rust patination) of hollow triangular section, the forte on both sides etched 'A la teste noire sur le port St. Michel a Paris', between a blackamoor's profile bust and a panel of symmetrical foliage, hilt cast and chased in low relief overall with spiral fluting framing cherubs and trophies between rocailles and foliage, comprising double shell-guard, quillon-block, arms, lobed rear quillon, knuckle-guard, globular pommel with button, and swelling grip
