A French carved wood and painted tester bed, late 18th/early 19th century, the canopy incorporating an acanthus decorated frieze above the upholstered and panel incoporating the pleated circular section, above twin foliate decorated uprights and conforming bed ends, the elaborately decorated foot end incorporating relief carved depictions of swags, floral branches, and trophies centred by a putto, flanked by similarly decorated pilasters surmounted by stylised pineapple finials, 264cm high, 145cm wide, 200cm long
