A French cold painted ormolu mantel timepiece, first quarter 19th century, now with later spring movement, Roman numeral dial and milled bezel, the case modelled as a pagoda and painted with serpentine, foliate and bird motifs across the front, with banner finial, with two Corinthian pilasters below pointed gables flanking an aedicule containing a Chinese warrior figure possibly holding a bow, on scrolling feet, 40 cm high; with a matched pair of four light gilt metal Chinoiserie candelabra, the foliate cast sconces and arms held aloft by figures in Chinese attire atop baluster form socles and hexagonal bases, 51 cm high
