The eight-day gong striking movement with silvered platform lever escapement and stamped with serial number 28694 to the lower left hand corner of the backplate and to the inside of the frontplate, the rectangular white enamel Roman numeral dial with Arabic five minutes beyond the minute track, blued steel spade hands and canted gilt fillet moulded surround, the gilt brass bevel-glazed gorge case with hinged faceted carrying handle, 13cm (5.25ins) high excluding handle.
