A French gilt-brass mounted enamel patch box, 19th century, of oval form, decorated with vignettes of rural scenes within scrolling gilt borders on a dark blue ground, approx. 3cm high, 5.6cm wide, 4cm deep, together with a Limoges gilt-brass mounted porcelain casket, with gilt-painted foliate decoration on a white ground, painted marks to base, 4.6cm high, 10cm wide, 6.8cm deep (2)
Patch box with damage to include: chips and cracks to enamel to underside and signs of previous repair. Cracks to interior. The top has been repainted to borders and there is some repainting to body. Mark to base is heavily rubbed and now indistinct. Limoges casket - Some minor surface scratches and rubbing to gilt. Minor nibbles to edges of base. Evidence that the lid and the lower brass rim have been reattached. Minor bending and wear to brass mounts.
