A French giltwood display cabinet, in Louis XV style, late 19th/ early 20th century, with Breche Violette marble top, 123cm high, 101cm wide, 33cm deepProvenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, chips and losses to the gilt surfaceThe interior velvet lining appears to be later, this has marks and signs of age and useThe marble top with the usual chips and knocks to the extremities including some larger losses to the edges and rear corners, also some natural faults and some filled repairsThe glass to the lower central 'window' is present but is broken to one edge it is in two main peices - this will either require professional restoration or replacement by the purchaser.
