A French odeonesque gold and platinum, sapphire and diamond mechanical bangle watch, c.1940,
by Audemars Piguet. A flat section rose and yellow tapered hinged bangle, with rose gold paper scroll to the top, channel set with two rows of trap cut sapphires and a white arched plaque, pavé set with brilliant cut diamonds. A curved, rectangular watch head with a copper coloured dial, black Roman numerals and gilt hands. Movement signed Audemars Piguet, no. 41894, with a concealed box clasp. French poinçon for 18ct gold standard and platinum, maker's mark, worn. 19.40mm wide, interior dimensions 56 x 47mm, 57.21g. No box or papers
