A French silver mounted glass claret jug by Edmond Tetard, import marked for Edinburgh 1897, with a bud and flower finial, a leafy moulded handle, the collar with a vacant shield, foliage and ribbons, the glass body etched with musical trophies, flower and foliate swags above oval facet cut base band, the silver foot with a beaded and an acanthus band, 28cm (11in) high Tetard traded from 4 rue Beranger, Paris from 1880 to 1903 and was succeeded by Tetard Freres.Condition Report: Import marks to foot rim are partially obscuredPlay to the hingeMounts are tight to the glassSlightly wobblesNo apparent chips to the glassLight scratches and wear commensurate with age and useCondition Report Disclaimer
