A French voltigeur shakoCap body in brown horsehair, black fibreboard top trimmed in yellow fabric band. Red, white and blue metal cockade with red cloth pompom, metal chin scale with black leather strap and buckle. Front plate of stamped metal eagle, attachment pins broken, loosely applied. Black lacquered visor with smooth green underside, paper tags applied. Black leather suspension liner of eight panels with perforations for tie string, original string missing. Size ca. 58 cm.
